Conferences
Faculty and students from the School of Interactive Computing are regularly published at the leading conferences in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Ubiquitous Computing, and Social Computing, among others.
Additionally, our faculty often serve on the organizing committees of these conferences, and also collaborate with or work within conference host organizations. Associate Professor Neha Kumar serves as Executive Director of the Association of Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI), which hosts the annual Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), and Professor Seth Hutchinson served as the Program Chair for the 2023 International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA). Hutchinson is also the former president of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers' Robotics & Automation Society (IEEE-RAS).

Georgia Tech to Host ACM Learning @ Scale 2024
Georgia Tech will host the 10th ACM Learning @ Scale Conference July 18-20 at the Global Learning Center, across the street from CODA and TSRB.
This year’s Learning@Scale conference will focus on scaling learning in the age of AI. Rapid advances in AI have created new opportunities but also challenges for the Learning@Scale community. The advances in generative AI show potential to enhance pedagogical practices and the efficacy of learning at scale. This has led to an unprecedented level of interest in employing generative AI for scaling tutoring and feedback. The prevalence of such tools calls for new practices and understanding on how AI-based methods should be designed and developed to enhance the experiences and outcomes of teachers and learners.

Georgia Tech Hosts CoRL 2023!
Georgia Tech welcomed global robotics experts at the forefront of research and innovation as it hosted the 2023 Conference on Robot Learning (CoRL).
The conference, in its seventh year, set a new attendance record, with more than 800 people joining the conference at the Starling Hotel in Midtown Atlanta. The international conference brings together top young researchers whose work explores robotics and machine learning. Google created and hosted the first CoRL in 2017 and is a major sponsor of the event.
