ACM Accolades Continue for School of IC Faculty
School of Interactive Computing Chair and Professor Shaowen Bardzell and Professor Munmun De Choudhury have been named Distinguished Members of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
The ACM recognized 61 new members in 2025. According to the ACM’s website, Distinguished Members represent the top 10% of the ACM’s global membership, recognized for their technical achievements and service.
The Distinguished Members represent numerous research areas, including healthcare AI, computing education, data management, human-computer interaction (HCI), mobile computing, networked systems, security, software, and sustainability.
